Prof Irene Ng shared with us her project "Hub of all Things" (HAT) with us. We were really lucky to have her this week as she was passing by Singapore on her way home from Japan after presenting her paper there.
HAT is a £1.2m multi-disciplinary project funded by the Research Council’s UK Digital Economy Programme. It involves a team of 16 researchers from the domains of Economics, Business, Computing and the Arts across six UK universities of Cambridge, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Surrey, Warwick and the West of England. It covers the area of IOT, Data privacy, data economy and much more.
Irene is a Professor of Marketing and Service Systems and the Director of the International Institute for Product and Service Innovation at WMG, University of Warwick. She is also a Senior Member at Wolfson College, Cambridge. She was an entrepreneur and practitioner for 16 years before switching to an academic career. Both an entrepreneur and an academic, Irene is passionate about the link between practice and research. She is an advisor to start-ups on new financial models in digital businesses.
